have been interested in essential oils for sometime now, amazing that “nature” has given us what we need to heal ourselves, if only we take the time to look and study. question-i wasn,t aware that frankincense oil could be ingested, or frankincense in any form could be taken internally? my husband has a place on his arm(not cancerous) but i thought frankincense oil might be helpful( can it be used undiluted on skin?
Teresa ~ Do you have some ‘Young Living’ Frankincense? Not all brands of essential oils are of therapeutic standards. Many of the more expensive essential oils sold in stores and on-line are diluted or adulterated and are not okay to ingest or apply nest ‘straight’ on the skin. Or even if other brands are ‘safe’ to use, the companies won’t let you know because of the strong influence of British style aromatherapy in north America. If you do have Young Living Frankincense, then it is completely safe to use internally (in gel caps) or straight on the skin, we do that ourselves….and have for 10 years without problems.
Depending on what sort of ‘issue’ your hubby has on his skin, Frankincense may heal it very well. I’ve met people who cured plantar’s warts very quickly with Frankincense. My family uses a blend I created ‘Trinity’ (over 50% Frankincense) to soothe Herpes lesions, heal mouth cuts, skin abrasions & blemishes very quickly. Some types of skin issues are more persistent. And each individual is different. Again, depending on what the skin issue is, sometimes it’s best to have a dermatologist remove the growth (if it is one) and then heal the area with the essential oils….my husband took that approach with a spot on his forehead.
