When used with care, horses, dogs, & cats may benefit from essential oils & pure hydrosols.
Pets & Fur Babies

Essential oils may be used on our beloved "fur babies" with great success.

DOGS love essential oils and respond quickly. As a general rule, use only 1-2 drops on medium-to-large dogs. 1 drop diluted on small to miniature dogs.  

HORSES respond particularly well, but require larger quantities in proportion to their size. Will research specific info for your horse's situation as a consultation.

CATS are more difficult to work with since their livers cannot process phenolic compounds! Some oils are TOXIC to cats. As a general rule, kitties prefer flower & tree EOs. AVOID EOs from the myrtle family: Tea Tree (Melaleuca), Myrtle,Clove, Eucalyptus & all EOs with phenol compounds. Do your research! OR Phone or email for a consultation.

BIRDS may also respond well to essential oils, but used in tiny, diluted quantities or diffused. Have notes on how others have successfully used essential oils for birds. Am happy to share them in a consultation.

2008 INTRODUCTION 

A powerful immune-supportive  blend with 50% FRANKINCENSE combined with CLOVE, HYSSOP and other strongly anti-infectious therapeutic essential oils. Excellent for bacterial / fungal skin infections, cuts/scratches & minor injuries.  / 1ml - 5/8dram bottle

~ May help speed recovery from BLEMISHES, CUTS / SCRATCHES, INSECT BITES, some SKIN CANCERS.
~ Safe for use on DOGS, 1-2 drops / 2-3xday. For dogs less than 30lbs, dilute 1drop in 1/2 tsp organic ALMOND or GRAPESEED oil. OK to ingest.

USAGE: Put on affected area in evening. HYSSOP essential oils used in blend is photo-sensitive.

CAUTION: NOT for Cats, Babies, use during Pregnancy, or with Epilepsy.  

Comment: Formulated for a friend's dog suffering from an invasive squamous cell skin cancer on his nose. Fine for people, too.

~ Safe for use on CATS

USAGE: Dilute 1drop in 1/2 tsp organic ALMOND or GRAPESEED oil. Put on cat’s paws & affected area. OK to ingest. Diffuse for emotional support.

Comment: Adpated from Trinity for my sister-in-law’s cat with ROSE essential oil replacing another essential oil not advised for use on cats. It would be excellent for the same sort of skin issues & minor injuries.
